With the complexities of outsourcing, one of the biggest concerns that many organizations have prior to undertaking a Transition and Transformation activity is, “will the outsourcing supplier be able to implement the Transition and Transformation into my environment without disruption to the operations?”  To address these concerns, right Transition and Transformation Methodology has to be in place.

 

What is Transition

 

Transition is the entire process for assuming operational responsibility for a customer’s IT environment and Transition moves a customer organization from its current mode of operation to service provider mode of operation.

 

Transition includes the takeover of the “as-is” environment as well as contractual requirements necessary to facilitate the transfer.

 

What is Transformation

 

Transformation is the implementation of contractually defined projects, within a specified time, that lead to service enhancements and/or quality, productivity, and technology improvements.
